The Water Design event, dedicated to water and all that represent the latest news and research in this field, is back to the 2015 Edition of Cersaie.

Two large focus were presented in Bologna, outside the headquarters of the fair.

Cit1The first one, water and sustainability:

Dedicated to living and daily life and the many links with water, the Rocchetta Courtyard presented projects by Ferruccio Laviani, Piero Lissoni and Patricia Urquiola. The goal was to lead the audience to reflect on water consumption because “sometimes you just need to design and build in an alternative way, to reduce waste”. In the Centre of the courtyard, was also installed a regeneration system that allows the exhaust water produced in our homes to be purified and to reduce its waste up to 70%.

The second one, water and well-being:

Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel told water as a source of well-being. The Ducal Court, a place unique and impressive architecture with a large central pool, drew almost spontaneously in a situation of relax and pleasure for the body and the mind; the installation wanted to remind the strong appeal with water and with the natural landscape. The emphasis has been placed on the need to design places to enjoy this kind of pleasure and balance: this is a theme so dear to the classics that today goes back very topical, in view of the rithms of the modern world.
