AGC Asahi Glass presents “Amorphous”: one of the most innovative technologies applied to glass

During the Milan Fashion week was presented an installation made of the extraordinarily molecular glass suspended in space. The project entitled “Amorphous” wants to tell the amorphous concept of “molecular structure without a definite shape. The space allows visitors to enjoy a unique experience within a glassy lightweight, free and full of expressiveness.

The glass is colored with different shades, in his every movement and its surface is the expression of the light that is reflected. The viewer can see her reflection as if it were in front of a mirror and watch the games you create in the background.

This huge molecular structure is also a showcase that collects all the technology of the future.

Installing “Amorphous”, created with a glass lightweight, free and full of expressivene, infuses a new ispiration and expresses the future possibilities of fusion between natural science and innovative technology.

Technical product information-thin Sheets of chemically hardened glass of AGC

Thin sheets of chemically hardened glass of AGC high surface resistance and are lighter, flexible and resistant to scratches than glass used for Windows. This peculiarity stems from the addition of a reinforcing treatment during the manufacturing process of the glass that gives smoothness and shine.

AGC’s product line consists of Dragontrail ™, a product aimed at the electronics industry and typically used as a cover for smartphones, tablets and electronic devices, Dragontrail ™ X (8 times higher than the resistance of an ordinary soda-lime glass of equal thickness), a product with a higher resistance, and other glass products for industrial applications.
