Ice-Q, the Crystal cube of 007

One of the most beautiful scenes of the new 007, appears to be set here: in this beautiful location in Austria, on the Gaislachkogl mountain, at over 3,000 metres in height. The “clinic” where the agent goes to “recover” its bond girl seems to be a beautiful designed restaurant the Ötztal Alps.

Cinematography (and dreams aside), this high-altitude retreat is a place of great charm that deserves to be presented.
Ice-Q is a restaurant, made even more spectacular by an exterior that reflects the beauty of the area. Glass and steel are the materials chosen for architectural design: If the first symbolises the elegance and transparency, the second ensures sturdiness and strength.

The project was implemented by the architectural firm Obermoser of Innsbruck. This building was built on the rugged terrain and the architects have taken into account the strict temperature: for this Foundation were made furniture enhance the structure to adapt to temperature changes.

The restaurant, which has an outdoor terrace, is directly connected to the Gaislachkogl cable car, considered among the most innovative projects and minimal environmental impact of recent times.

Not only architecture. This retreat, the highest of all the ski, tip on a dining experience at a high level. In addition to the best products of the Alpine region, here you can taste the best Austrian and international wines. Ice-Q was also conducted a special cellar where wine is aged Pinot 3000, a cuvée pinot noir that comes from Italy, Austria, tre vigne from Germany.
